Do you ever feel that you can work really hard, and yet do not seem to make any progress.
Or is it because at the end of it there is one big task that awaits you, and the longer you leave it, the bigger it becomes.

Life is a freaking treadmill!
I used to watch my hamster go franticly in his wheel, chucking he's getting all worked out, but not actually getting anywhere... damn, now I'm here myself.
At least with an actual treadmill you get your body toned. The figure-of-speech-one... not so much!
